XRS Corporation (XRSC) - This piece of news hit the wires after hours today, 03/07..Brendan F. Reidy will join as its President and Chief Operating Officer. Click here to read about his role.
Importance of this piece of news - From 2005 until July 2012 Mr. Riedy worked as Chairman, President and CEO of Clarus Systems, a software and software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider to the unified communications industry. Clarus was acquired by Opnet Technologies in May of 2012. XRS Corporation (XRSC) did an excellent job by bringing in Brendan who has vast experience in IT, Telecom, Private Equity, and Venture Capital sectors. Like I tweeted before, XRSC will be a takeover target at some point of time. And with guys like Brendan who has great resume with experience in building the share holder value I strongly believe XRSC is a steal at this price.
There got to be a potential reason behind bringing him on board with hefty salary and other benefits...Connect the dots folks !!!
Mr. Reidy's annual salary will be $300,000 and his target payout percentage under the Company's annual incentive plan will be 100% of his annual base salary. Additionally, when Mr. Reidy joins the Company on March 11, 2013, he will be granted stock options with respect to 225,000 shares of our common stock and 75,000 restricted stock units.
