ZGNX - New IPO

I just took a long position in Zogenix (ZGNX), which recently IPO'd for $4. Zogenix is a pharmaceutical company commercializing and developing products for the treatment of central nervous system disorders and pain. Our first commercial product, Sumavel™ DosePro™ (sumatriptan injection) Needle-free Delivery System, was launched in January 2010. Sumavel DosePro offers fast-acting, easy-to-use, needle-free subcutaneous administration of sumatriptan for the acute treatment of migraine and cluster headache in a pre-filled, single-use delivery system. They recently got approval in Denmark for the needle-free version of the migraine treatment sumatriptan. Read more about ZGNX here.

This is a low float stock with a potential to hit $7. My entry price was $5. My other long position for today is JADE at $4.06, Target $5.25. Reason for buying JADE is I like their guidance. Read here.

A general Caution and Advise -As I always advise in my posts, Do not chase stocks. please keep in mind that I am not a Stock Market Analyst or an Investment Adviser to count on my recommendations/alerts. As always please do your DD before investing or speculating, start with a small position, always keep your stop losses in place and emotions out. Finally thank me for your profits but do not blame me for your losses because you are the one who pulled the trigger!!!

  4. Hi ES, I traded this stock a while ago and you reminded me about that stock again :) I know it's a low float stock and very hot once upon a time but I do not think there is really anything to get excited about this stock now. Maybe I am wrong. Good luck to you if you are holding it. I would consider adding VTRO, IRE, URG, TIII to your watchlist. I have a long position on those stocks and added more "VTRO and IRE" today.

  5. I have a small position in HAUP with a tight stop... Hope you are wrong about this stock! :)
I am also in TIII, bought some more today and looking for an entry in URG. VTRO looks scary to me for now, but I'm still learning to trade, you must know better. Good luck to you too and thanks for the opinion!

  6. hi, target price for IRE? VTRO is still positive? bump from 7.25 to 5.40., thanks you in advance.

  7. IRE is going to remain a very speculative stock until we know what's going to happen to the budget next week, how the elections are going to turn and what's the impact of the new government come 2011 is going to be on bond holders and invetors. But as far as next week's budget is concerned, I think they (opposition guys) are not going to block it since it will not do any good for Irish people. My short term target is $2.25 but again this is a risky stock and you can not rule out the chances of going down to $1.50 if budget is not passed.

VTRO - Yes I am still positive on VTRO with price target of $8. Google's contract renewal is a huge huge plus for this tiny company. I do not see a catalyst that will take this stock down in the near future. Let the short interest build up and when it is squeezed we will see $8. As always do your dd before jumping on anything :)

  9. If IRE breaks that 2.18 resistance level, who knows how high it could go on good news this week. All the news says Ireland is the smallest portion of the worry regarding the EU and their problems with Spain. Up 17% today so far, but we will see if people can push it past $2.18 to new highs this week.

  17. IRE up 13% premarket

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yes, sweet! sold a tiny chunk at $2.42 in pre-market. $2.69 now. If everything works out well for Irish banks, we will be seeing IRE at $5 in an year but again it's very speculative and you've got to be on top it.

  19. I am watching it pretty closely. If they announce they are turning it down, selling ASAP. If they announce they are passing the budget, I am going to stick with it and hopefully see it run back to the $4 level. Probably take some profits around the $3 range. IRE is not half as bad as Citigroup was, but I think you can see a similar pattern in the charts.
